Disconnect battery for 5–10 minutes before installation. Install a new gasket (sold separately). Reconnect throttle cable and adjust free play (1–2mm slack). Reconnect battery. Perform idle relearn: ignition ON 10 sec → OFF 10 sec (repeat 3 cycles) → start engine and idle 5 minutes without touching accelerator. If issues persist, use GM Tech2 scanner to perform IACV reset.
