Automobile oil cooler

The key thermal management component in the engine lubrication system. Its core function is to control the temperature of the engine oil within the optimal working range (typically 90°C – 110°C), preventing the sudden drop in viscosity and weakening of the oil film strength due to high temperatures, which can lead to abnormal wear or oxidation failure.

The engine oil performs multiple duties during operation, including lubrication, cleaning, and assisting in heat dissipation. After the engine's moving components are lubricated and cooled, approximately 6.3% – 8.25% of the heat is carried away by the engine oil, causing the oil temperature to continuously rise. If the oil temperature exceeds 120°C for an extended period, its lubrication performance will sharply decline, and in severe cases, it can lead to major failures such as engine warping or shaft seizure. The function of the oil cooler is to forcibly cool the engine oil, maintaining its normal circulation working temperature.
