Installation must be performed by a professional. After fitting, a throttle body relearn procedure is required to recalibrate the throttle body position sensor baseline — this is standard throttle body service practice for Ford 6.7L Power Stroke platforms. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes, install the new throttle body assembly with a fresh throttle body gasket (sold separately) and torque bolts to factory specification, then reconnect battery. Turn ignition ON for 10 seconds, OFF for 10 seconds. Start engine and idle for 5 minutes without touching the accelerator, then turn off for 1 minute and restart.
