How to install the throttle body

Throttle Body Removal

1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the intake air pressure and temperature sensor.
3. Rotate the locking ring counter-clockwise to remove the intake pipe (1) from the throttle body (2).
Note: The intake pipe is equipped with a locking ring. Rotating the ring counter-clockwise releases the charge air cooler pipe.

4. Disconnect the throttle body wiring harness, remove the mounting bolts, and take off the throttle body.
Caution: Do not use any type of solvent when cleaning the gasket surfaces on the intake manifold and throttle body assembly; doing so may damage the gasket surfaces and the throttle body assembly.
Exercise care when cleaning the gasket surfaces on the intake manifold and throttle body assembly, as sharp tools may damage the gasket surfaces.Diagram of Throttle Screw Locations
5. Install the throttle body mounting bolts and tighten them to the standard torque (10 Nm / 89 in-lb).
6. Rotate the locking ring clockwise to install the charge air cooler outlet pipe (1) onto the throttle body (2).
7. Connect the electrical connector for the intake air pressure and temperature sensor.
Note: After installing the charge air cooler outlet pipe onto the throttle body, be sure to wiggle it side-to-side by hand to verify it is properly seated.Diagram of Car Intake Pipe Connections
8. Throttle body learning procedure:
Connect diagnostic tool — Clear fault codes — Engine module — Learning functions — Throttle body data learning — Complete.
