1. The throttle body is a key component of the engine system.
2. It connects to the air flow meter or air filter hose at the top and to the engine intake manifold at the bottom; it is often referred to as the throat of the car engine.
Throttle body in engine working principle
The throttle body is a device used in electronic fuel injection engines to control the amount of air entering the engine. After the air enters the intake manifold, it mixes with the gasoline injected by the fuel injectors to form a combustible mixture, which is then burned in the cylinder to generate engine power.

Main components of the throttle body
1.Electronic throttle body: It mainly uses a throttle body position sensor to control the opening angle of the throttle body with a DC motor on the throttle body according to the energy required by the engine, thereby adjusting the amount of air intake.
2.Mechanical and semi-electronic throttle bodies: The traditional engine throttle body control mechanism works by connecting one end of a cable (soft steel wire) or a lever to the accelerator pedal and the other end to the throttle body pull wheel.
Proper installation and use of throttle body
1. Clean the intake manifold mounting surface, install the throttle body assembly onto the intake manifold interface, and tighten the screws to the specified torque;
2. Install the coolant hose and other flexible hoses;
3. Install the throttle cable lock pin, and adjust the throttle cable to a suitable position and tension (mechanical and semi-electronic);
4. Connect the position sensor and stepper motor connectors (mechanical); connect the throttle body connectors (semi-electronic and electronic);
5. Connect the intake hoses and tighten the locking rings.
After installation, a dedicated computer must be used to connect to the vehicle's ECU to clear fault codes and restore it to its initial state.
Precautions:
1. Ensure the throttle body wiring connector is plugged in.
2. Clear fault codes.
3. Ensure the throttle cable tension is appropriate.
