This 48mm electronic intake throttle valve is a direct OEM replacement for VAG 1.9 TDI / 2.0 TDI diesel engines and Mitsubishi 2.0L DI-D (4G94). Manufactured to Pierburg/Continental OEM specifications for EGR control, intake air management, and smooth engine shut-off. Not used for power control – functions as an air shut-off flap for EGR regulation and idle stability.

Throttle adaptation required after installation. Disconnect battery 5–10 min → install with new gasket (sold separately) → reconnect battery → use VCDS/VAG-COM Basic Settings Group 098 or 060 for VAG diesel adaptation (or M.U.T.-III for Mitsubishi) → start engine, idle 5 min → off 30 sec → restart and drive normally. Professional diagnostic equipment strongly recommended. Torque bolts to 8–10 Nm.
